Smoking and your diet
When you stop smoking, your appetite and sense of taste may improve, tempting you to snack more often.
Make sure you have plenty of healthy snacks, like fruit, vegetables or nuts, in the house and avoid snacks with high calorie content such as crisps or chocolate.
Any weight gain need only be temporary. During your quit programme, ask your adviser if they can recommend a weight management programme or take a look at the free fitness classes at one of Hackney’s community centres.
